The High Rollers Club Review Transcript:

[00:00:02] Hey guys, Jenn Bruno Smith here! I’m here with Lorie Boughton from Boudoir by Lorie. She has been in our mastermind course for.. When did you start with us? I forget.

[00:00:16] It was in March. The end of February. Beginning of March.

[00:00:19] So from the very beginning, you took the leap of faith, thank you!

[00:00:23] I did, yes!

[00:00:26] So tell me, what made you decide to take the leap with us?

[00:00:31] I was super nervous taking the leap. I have not really been in any other kind of like group of like trying to build your business or anything. But in February, I took a package with my company and retired early because I’m way too young for retirement. So I did.

[00:00:51] And right about that same time as when I found you and I hired you, you might not remember, but hired you for a one-hour mentoring session.

[00:01:00] I think I knew that this was my passion and I wanted to be successful in it.

[00:01:06] And so I figured I need to ask other successful people, which was view. And then shortly after that is when you started your mastermind group. And so I was like, this is just all perfect timing. And I believe in fines and I think it was fine.

[00:01:20] So before you do you remember, didn’t we talk about bridal shows?

[00:01:27] A little bit about bridal shows. But if you remember, I also do senior pictures. I remember that as my big question.

[00:01:34] And I wanted you to answer how I wanted you to answer it.

[00:01:37] And I wanted to say I when I asked you if I could do this, the seniors and you told me no. So that I was so mad because I really like your three more. You asked me how far back out I was. And I told you. And at that point, it was like two months. And you said, do not quit seniors until you’re at least six months out. So I guess how far out I am now and how far out of you.

[00:02:02] But now I’m looking in 20. I’m totally booked. So are you done shooting seniors? Well, I do, senior team. And so I already have my 20/20 girls on the team. I’ll be shooting them, but they’re going to be my last longer than that.

[00:02:19] It’s like your graduating class of seniors. Exactly. You know, I love that.

[00:02:25] Don’t tell me. OK, so before you started the mastermind, how many boudoir shoots did you have booked and what was your sales average? Sure.

[00:02:33] And I have it all. I’m going to be looking because I pulled it all up. I figured you ask. I love data. I love metrics. So I’m so excited that you have all these things that have data for you.

[00:02:44] I love it. I know last year, remember, I was doing Boudoir Fark.com part-time. I had a full-time job. Right. So last year, my total boudoir clients, I had forty-three of them for the entire year. And my average sale was one thousand six hundred and forty-seven dollars.

[00:03:01] I love that. You know, it’s down to the dollar. It always it always boggles my mind a little bit. When I asked that question, people like I don’t know. Thousand to two thousand, I’m like how can you not know?

[00:03:11] Like, I know my sales average rate this minute is four thousand and eighty-three dollars.

[00:03:16] Well, I’m about to tell you what mine is. Be down. OK, so twenty eighteen of the sixteen forty-seven with my average.

[00:03:26] As of right now, my average is two thousand eight hundred and ninety-five dollars.

[00:03:32] So, you know, it’s almost yeah, that’s amazing, but not exciting.

[00:03:39] So you’re booked out to 2020. And how many? How many are you shooting per month?

[00:03:48] Let’s say we’re being booked out, so I shoot three for sure. Repor week. That’s great. And I say I’m booked out.

[00:03:59] But if someone calls and it’s like my anniversary is in to my family. All right, I’ll fit them in.

[00:04:04] Yeah, exactly.

[00:04:06] So that’s when I say bookout, I have at least three. And then around Thanksgiving, like that whole week is all December. Christmas, I have like two weeks off.

[00:04:15] So I love it. Yeah. That’s amazing. Yeah.

[00:04:19] I mean, the year to date. You know what? Your grosses and like you know what your gross was last like twenty eighteen year to date. Yes.

[00:04:29] So twenty eighteen told you I have been. I love it. This is great. Twenty eighteen.

[00:04:34] My total revenue was ninety eight thousand and my goal was one hundred and I was so mad. I was so, so close. Right. So it was ninety eight thousand twenty eighteen the. So far this first half. So up until June of this year I’m already at seventy five.

[00:04:51] So yes. Amazing.

[00:04:54] So if I if I sell my sales average for the remaining shoots that I have, it’s actually going to put me at about one eighty five for the year. That’s amazing.

[00:05:05] And you know what? As you do this more, as you perfecta opposing in your workflow and your high. Yes.

[00:05:13] You’re just going to your sales average is just going to go higher and higher because that’s what happens.

[00:05:18] Now you say I want to. I’m so excited to hear that.

[00:05:22] So what do you think the mean like if you had to pinpoint one or two main things that you were doing differently? Is there?

[00:05:32] I don’t think that I can, because it’s not just one thing.

[00:05:36] Right. So before or like how I found my clients was all 100 percent word of mouth. My VIP group is rock n roll and I love those girls. We have there. And so it was all word of mouth. And then when I signed up with y’all, I probably like a lot of photographers. I hate the technical side of it.

[00:05:55] So Humberto was a huge selling point for me to join with you all because I was like, I know I didn’t even have like a Google ad or a Facebook or anything.

[00:06:05] I don’t. It doesn’t work that way. And he’s good at that stuff. Yeah. Exactly. So I love that about it.

[00:06:12] I could just watch his videos. And I’m telling you, I’m not kidding. Whenever I say I like pause, rewind way. Where did you just click it? Where do I click? Like, I was wondering why all of his videos. So that’s a huge thing. I started doing some Facebook ads. I have them all turned off right now except for like a couple. Because I’m just too. Does your books. Yeah. You can’t call everyone. I have a list of people to call. So that was a huge thing, was the behind the scenes technical stuff. And then I loved the fact that I think you told me on our like call whenever I signed up with you before I signed up with you. That’s basically what this program is, is if Jen was going to move to Houston, Texas, right where I am and start a business. This is everything she would do to start her business. And I saw your numbers and I saw your sales averages. I your yearly revenue. And I was like, well, that’s what I want. So I’m in Houston, like the fourth largest city, like.

[00:07:08] Right. If this is doable here. What do you do?

[00:07:18] So I love that, too. I love because I didn’t have any flow at all.

[00:07:25] I had nothing. So it was basically it was going from the very beginning and having all of your emails and all of your scripts and what to say when you get them on the phone and what to say at I.P.S. And it’s just so I can’t just pinpoint one thing. Everything from mine. And I will say this to the people that are watching. It’s work. It’s a lot of hard work. It’s not an easy thing at all. You have to watch the videos and you have to implement them because otherwise you’re just if you don’t put in the work. Nothing’s gonna change. So. Yeah, that’s right. That’s my two cents.

[00:07:59] I love it. And that’s like the big thing is you have to implement like we will give you the tools you have to use them. And I think too often people will get in like this right out. Like what I’m doing isn’t working. So I’m just gonna keep doing the same thing.

[00:08:16] Like, if what you’re doing isn’t working, then you need to do something different. And so, you know, I love it. And I think it shows through your results that you’ve put the time in and that you’ve implemented and that you focus. And I’m so happy for you. And I’m so proud of you. So do you have any words of advice or people that are thinking about doing the program that is scared to take the leap for it? You know, they might not really know me or know Umberto’s so many words of wisdom.

[00:08:44] I was definitely scared. I will tell you, when I signed up with you after I paid you, that left me two hundred dollars in my business account.

[00:08:52] And I was scared a lot. So I understand 100 percent. I mean, what I would say is I’m I’m just a regular supporter, just like you are.

[00:09:05] You might not know General Bierko, but they’re there for you. They’re very transparent. I love that about them.

[00:09:10] If you have questions that you just can’t figure out, they’ll answer them, but they’re easily reachable.

[00:09:18] And then also, if anyone’s watching and wants to send me a message, I’ll be happy to talk to them about it.

[00:09:23] Thank you. I love that. I think that you know of. Goals with doing this course is to continue to stay transparent and just continue to stay like reachable. Because I think that’s really important. But doing the work is the piece that is really going to make the change, I think, happen for the students. And I’m humbled that you took the leap and did that, because I remember when I was, you know, struggling and I had mentors that were not good and taking that back piece and using it to create this course. It’s that’s why it’s so important to me that I stay present. If you don’t do the damn work, I’m not going to a thing to say to you.

[00:10:14] I got to work that. You have to have some personal accountability.

[00:10:19] It’s your business. You need to grow it. If you get stuff done or really anyone in the Facebook exclusive group you can post in there. Everyone is very helpful.

[00:10:28] And yeah. And it’s to the point now where like a lot of times other students will answer before I can even get to like the posts. And then I’m like what? She said. That’s right. I know that I do. Nothing else to add right now, though.

[00:10:43] But thank you so much for taking the time.

[00:10:45] And thanks for helping me grow my business. I appreciate it. Come to use it and visit me. I’m going to San Antonio soon in November. You know, I have it on my calendar, but.

[00:10:58] Well, maybe we can hook up for like dinner at lunch or something would be so good to see you.

[00:11:02] Yeah, that’ll be fun. Thanks, Jenn!
